4th Anniversary of Blogging

4th Anniversary of Blogging

Four years ago today, I started on a journey that would change my life.

It all started with an assignment in my Writing 160 class my freshman year of college. We had the creative freedom to come up with a passion project – write about something that sparks your interest and make it come to life. While most people made Tumblr pages and short presentations to talk about their passions, I decided to start a fashion blog. Thus, With Love, Koko Beth was born.

I enjoyed writing my blog so much, that I decided to change my major from so that I could pursue my passion of writing and social media. Going from nursing to communication and public relations was a huge 180, but that’s a story for another day!

As much as I love fashion, the more I progressed, the more I wanted the freedom to write about whatever I wanted to. I have a lot of interests in a lot of different areas, so instead of limiting myself to just fashion, I made the switch to a new domain with my sights set on being a lifestyle blogger. I wanted to be able to connect with more people on a deeper level while still writing about fashion, beauty, and so much more.

Three years, two name alterations, one domain change, and a boatload of layouts later, I couldn’t be more happy with what Keeping it Kourtney has developed into. I know that there will be a ton of changes ahead (I get bored easily), but I can’t wait to share more of my thoughts and stories with my readers.

Thank you for reading, sharing, and growing with me, cheers to what’s next to come!

Date Night Destinations: Coach Insignia

Date Night Destinations: Coach Insignia

If you follow me on Instagram  or Twitter, you’ll know that Friday night Ryan and I celebrated our two year anniversary before he travels off to Europe for the next couple years at Detroit’s premiere restaurant, Coach Insignia located in the heart of downtown Detroit on the 72nd floor of the Renaissance Center.

Dressed in black and ready to hit the town, Ry and I were greeted with breath-taking views of Detroit and Windsor, Canada, phenomenal food, and an absolutely scrumptious dessert! If you’re in the area I highly recommend checking it out for yourself!

**2017 UPDATE: Coach Insignia is no longer in business. Another restaurant is to be taking it’s place some time in 2018.
